Phone sex is a very lucrative business, but as far as I know the clients are all men and the phone sex operators are all women.

This does not however prove that only men enjoy phone sex but it does show that for women phone sex with a stranger is perhaps considerably less appealing (if at all) than when it is within the confines of an established relationship or a prelude to one.
